March
2006 - Thompson,
Thompson & Glanville, a law firm located in Ludington,
Michigan has chosen Rivertown Media to create its company brochure. Also
this month, Rivertown Media will help Select Bank celebrate its
10-year anniversary by planning a client reception for April, and
creating coordinating anniversary materials.
November 2005 - Holland
Board of Public Works has awarded the design of its 2005 annual
report to Rivertown Media. Also in November, Rivertown Media
has relocated. Our new mailing address is listed on
the "Contact Us" page. Our phone and fax numbers remain the same.
October 2005 - The
Grand Rapids Area Housing Continuum of Care, in association with
The Salvation Army has chosen Rivertown Media to design its 10-year plan
to eliminate homelessness in Kent County, entitled "A Vision to End
Homelessness." The 120-page plan will be available at the Salvation Army
office on Fuller Avenue in December, or available to download from their
website.
May 2005 - Kenowa
Lumber chooses Rivertown Media to develop their new website. After
deciding that their website needed a redesign, Kenowa Lumber choose the
team at Rivertown Media to design a new site and integrate new features.
The new website will coincide with the unveiling of Kenowa Lumber's new
showroom, which will be open later this year.
January 2005 - Rivertown Media
hires Angela Briggs in the position of Client Services. With a B.A. in
Advertising and Public Relations and a minor in Hospitality and Tourism
Management, Angela has the perfect blend of cheerful professionalism and
ambition for our company. Angela recently interned at
the Ludington Chamber of Commerce and the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel, and
we welcome her to Rivertown Media!
November 2004 - Carleen
Crawford teams up with Rivertown Media to provide public relations
and communications services. Carleen will be responsible for our
clients' press releases, television, radio, and public appearances,
image and reputation management, corporate position, and strategic
planning. Carleen has more than 20 years of experience, and we look
forward to a successful partnership.
November 2004 - Annette
Cheppudira joins Rivertown Media as Business Development Director. Bringing to the table
many years of
sales and marketing experience, she previously worked for
Acosta Sales and
Marketing and serviced companies such as Minute Maid, Nestle, and Dannon. Most recently, she held the title of Marketing Director for Johnson's Contracting Services.

- Never staying in one place too long, Marketing Assistant Ellen Rilett
has chosen sunny California over another Michigan winter. After learning
the ropes of the business world at Rivertown Media, Ellen has packed her
bags and moved to San Diego in search of sun, fun, and a career in
fashion. We wish her the best in her future endeavors, and wouldn't mind
at all if she sent some of that California sunshine our way.
July 2004 -
Rivertown Media takes on Today's Woman Business Conference. Today's Woman is an annual
event put on by Regent Broadcasting featuring speakers, seminars, and
exhibitors specifically geared toward today's strong, successful women.
Rivertown Media has been chosen by Regent to coordinate the February,
2005 event. We'll be developing the new logo, website, and print materials,
choosing the keynote speaker and other session speakers, planning the exhibitor space, and
acquiring sponsors. The staff of
Rivertown Media looks forward to this challenge with enthusiasm!
April 2004 - Rivertown
Media expands design department to include new graphic designer,
Ingrid Felten. Ingrid has worked with Rivertown Media in the past as a
freelance artist, and will now join our full-time staff.
March 2004
- Two new hires join our team! Sandy Daniels is now Rivertown
Media's Project Manager. Sandy will handle all accounting and payroll
duties, as well as project management duties. Also new to the company is
Ellen Rilett. Ellen was hired as a Marketing Assistant to help with
various marketing responsibilities and office management. Rivertown
Media is pleased to welcome both women to our team!
December 2003 -
Rivertown Media acquires Born Clinic and Fence Consultants of West
Michigan as client accounts. Born Clinic is a Kentwood family
health care facility providing traditional, complementary, and
preventive therapies and patient services. Fence Consultants of West
Michigan is an accredited provider of fence construction and rental
services, and has been in business since 1988. Rivertown Media is proud
to add these West Michigan companies to our list of clients. Also this
month, after 2
years as Media Services Director and resident jokester at Rivertown
Media, Brian Hoekstra has left the company to pursue a career in the
music industry. During his time with Rivertown Media, Brian worked on many large
campaigns including the annual Select Bank Hall of Fame Classic and the
Gibson's 20th Anniversary Celebration. His work on a documentary-style
video for our client, Nu-Wool Company, Inc., was featured in the
national media magazine, Big Idea. As someone who could always give
people a laugh and lighten the mood amidst occasional chaos here in the
office, Brian will be missed by his co-workers. We wish him the very
best in his future pursuits!
November 2003 - S. J.
Wisinski, the largest commercial real estate firm in West Michigan, has chosen Rivertown Media as their advertising agency.
Since
1986, S.J. Wisinski & Company has been the premier commercial real
estate firm in West Michigan, and has bought, sold, and leased more
properties than any other area brokerage.
Rivertown Media will provide full-service marketing for S.J. Winsinski,
including press releases and PR, print advertising, and collateral
materials.
October 2003 -
Rivertown Media has hired Mickey Waite,
formerly Marketing
Director at Grubb & Ellis/Paramount Properties in Grand Rapids. Mickey
studied Visual Communications at Kendall College of Art & Design, and
has 8 years of media and marketing experience. Rivertown Media adds him
to our team as an Account Executive, where Mickey will be involved in
all aspects of media planning, PR, client relations, and some graphic
design.
September 2003 - The
Right Place, Inc. selects Rivertown Media
to put together their
annual Kent County Manufacturers Directory. The Right Place is a
non-profit organization directed by a board of business and community
leaders. Its mission is to promote local economic growth through
high-quality employment, productivity, and technology. The 100+ page
directory will list area manufacturers as well as provide contact
information and statistics.
August 2003 - Rivertown
Media is chosen by Michigan State University to implement a new
campaign for their Weekend MBA Program. Rivertown Media will design and
place new ads, billboards, and other pieces to promote weekend master's
degree program. MSU has determined that West Michigan maintains a
significant portion of enrollment in its MBA program, and hopes to
encourage further enrollment in the weekend courses on this side of the
state.
August 2003 -
Rivertown Media co-sponsors "Reels for Reading", a program created
to help put more and newer books on the shelves of Grand Rapids Public
Schools' libraries. The program offer a free movie ticket, popcorn & pop
to anyone who buys a book from the "wish list" at Barnes & Noble of
Grandville or Kentwood, and then donates it to Reels for Reading. The
logo and promotional materials for the event were designed by Rivertown
Media, and donations were made by Mercantile Bank, Barnes & Noble, Jack
Loeks Theaters, and other local sponsors.
July 2003 - Terrie
Lynema joins Rivertown Media as Business Development Director. Terrie has over 14 years of advertising and publication industry
experience, having previously worked for such publications as The Grand
Rapids Business Journal and MiBiz West. With her no-nonsense attitude
and aggressive approach to business, Rivertown Media is proud to have
Terrie on board.
May 2003 - Rivertown Media is featured
in Big Idea, a national media and communications industry magazine.
The 3-page article, published in the May, 2003 issue and written by
former Media Services Director Brian Hoekstra, detailed the creation of
a promotional "mockumentary" DVD for our client,
Nu-Wool Company, Inc.

2003 - Rivertown Media has relocated to a new office in downtown
Grand Rapids. First established in 1997, Rivertown Media began as a
home-based business in Grandville, Michigan. In the past six years, the
business has grown by more than 300%, creating the need for two more
full-time employees, two part-timers, several interns, and the larger,
more convenient location. You'll find our new address on the "Contact
Us" page; our phone and fax numbers have not changed.
